Jeff taught himself bass guitar in 1984 at the age of 11 and eventually moved to guitar at the age of 13. Fronting a series of bands for the last 30 years his most popular was the Stevie Ray Vaughan inspired act "Jeff Zak & The Other Guys" with Voodoo Children bassist Wayne Kruzinski.
-
An expert on the folklore and legends of the French Quarter, Jeff is eerily wise beyond his years. Some say he's lived a few centuries spending most of that time prowling the Vieux Carre. The dark cynicism and humor of Mort-vivant are balanced only by the pure optimism of le Chérubin.

Musical influences: Stevie Ray Vaughan, Peter Cetera, Albert King, Jimi Hendrix, Doyle Bramhall II
-
Favorite guitar: Fender Stratocaster

Hometown: New Orleans, LA & Chicago, IL
Bass & Vocals

Wayne started his musical career as a drummer in 1975. In 1986 he switched to bass guitar and met Jeff Zak by pure chance at an open stage night in 1991. The two remained friends ever since and are together again after a decade apart, playing in various bands. Wayne's bass playing has been known to crack foundations and cause involuntary "movements"...be careful!
-
As a World traveler and Spiritualist, Wayne's experiences are legendary. He's broken many hearts around the world and his musical knowledge is only surpassed by the amount of people he knows. No matter where his adventures find him, he knows someone and they always have a story to tell about him. Le Voyageur is the counterpoint to le Diable, always keeping his demonic impulses in check.
-
Musical influences: Smithereens, The Jam, Anthrax, Bad Examples
-
Favorite bass: Fender Precision & Jazz basses, Music Man basses and Moonshine Custom Basses

Hometown: Chicago, IL (when not traveling abroad)
Guitar, Vocals & Special Effects

Nik began playing guitar in 2009. A certified guitar & amp addict (like Jeff) Nik barely passes up a chance to add more guitars and amps to his musical harem. His distinct rhythm playing, occasional guitar solo, and special effect organ tricks add a blanket of sound behind the rhythm section that help with the band's larger than life sound.
-
The youthful spirit of le Chérubin brings with it the energy that helps keep Voodoo Children tireless and vibrant. Countering Mort-vivant is a full time job. Any venerable soul would surely fail at this job leaving the band unbalanced and skewed to the darkness.
-
Musical Influences: The Beatles/George Harrison, Joe Bonamassa, The Egde (U2), John Frusciante (RHCP), Elvis Presley
-
Favorite Guitar: Fender Telecaster

Hometown: Among the Gods, & Elmhurst, IL
Drums & Vocals

Tony began playing drums in 2005 and since has also become quite sufficient on bass, piano, & guitar. Known affectionately among the other members as "Tripod",
-
It is said Tony is half human/half demon and can conjure evil spirits with his devilishly impressive drumming. Don't let his demeanor catch you off guard! When you least expect it...le Diable will strike and then quickly vanish into the night. Leaving you to wondering...what exactly just happened???

Musical influences: The Beatles, The Who, Queen, Nirvana

Favorite Drum Set: 1980's Ludwig Rockers II
